Structural Platforms

Almost every Marion truck body is custom built. Because we believe that our niche is to bring our customers personalized products for their individual needs, we work extra to make every truck body fit our customers' requirements. Many options are available on our standard line of Structural Platforms and our engineering staff can custom design specialized ones.

Features

Our Structural Platforms are ideal for hauling many different types of cargo, from lumber to steel to construction or plumbing supplies. Each Marion Platform is customized to meet each customer's needs, and all feature the following design elements:
Rugged Underframe
The increased strength of our underframe provides the capacity to haul increasingly heavy payloads. A framing of 6" structural channel side rails with 4" structural channel crossmembers on 12" centers and 5" structural channel stringers makes up the foundation of our structural platforms, providing strength and a high duty capacity.
Long Life Floor
In addition to our high strength underframe, Marion installs 1-3/8" Apitong hardwood flooring as standard, rather than the industry standard 1-1/8" yellow pine, for longer life and increased weather resistance.
Practical Stake Setup
All of our platforms feature standard stake pockets on 24" centers with a 3/8" by 3" steel rub rail facing for pocket construction and excellent tie down capability.
Protected Lighting
To help prevent damage, all marker lights on Marion Structural Platforms are recessed.
