Marion Body Works, Inc., a leading manufacturer of Fire & Emergency Apparatus, Commercial Truck Bodies, Aluminum Custom Cabs, Custom Engineered Vehicles, and Defense Products, recently participated in the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day^® to raise awareness in the fight against heart disease in women.

On Thursday, February 5, employees were encouraged to wear a red shirt as part of a company-wide competition between departments. The team with the highest percentage of red shirts worn, the Fire & Emergency and Commercial departments, won a free breakfast courtesy of Marion Body Works. In total, 81% of Marion Body Works employees participated and wore red.

The Marion Body Works Wellness Fund pledged to donate $2 to the American Heart Association for each red shirt that was worn on National Wear Red Day. A total of $322 was donated.

In addition to participating in National Wear Red Day, the team at Marion Body Works will be going red for the entire month of February, with an ongoing 50/50 raffle benefiting the American Heart Association, a heart healthy wellness lunch and a red apple week to continue raising heart disease awareness.
