Kevin Ignacio Joins Marion Body Works as Director of Business Development

Marion Body Works, is excited to announce the hiring of Kevin Ignacio as Director of Business Development. Kevin, son of Marion President Curt Ignacio, is looking forward to joining the family-owned business after years of involvement with Marion as a member of the Board of Directors and past Finance and Operations internship.

What Does the Future Hold?

Marion Body Works has been around since 1905. Since Bud Simpson purchased the company in 1980, Marion has grown both in manufacturing space and employee capacity over the decades to what it is today. Since Bud’s ownership, Marion Body Works has stayed, and continues to stay, in the Simpson/Ignacio family. Through close work with the entire family, board of directors, and executive team, the next generation of family members are diligent in their efforts to learn and provide advice to prepare for the future.

Marion Body Works, Inc. has been selected as one of Navistar’s Diamond Supplier Award winners for the second consecutive year by Navistar Defense. Recognized for their extraordinary support and excellent quality on a variety of 7000 MilCOTs programs, Marion Body Works accepted their award on February 13^th.

Marion Salutes All Veterans

Marion Body Works excels with help from the qualities that veterans bring to our workforce. Last week, one of the Marion family, Staff Sgt. Adam Zuehl, a Mechanical Drafter, was deployed to active duty with the U.S. Army. Our thoughts and prayers are with Adam and his family while he serves our country. We look forward to his safe return home and to our engineering department here at Marion.

With the recent purchase of an AugmentedArc and LiveArc from Miller Electric, Marion is pursuing avenues in cutting edge technologies for their welders and prospective employees. From showcasing what welding is like to testing skill levels, both machines provide an experience similar to what one would face in real-life as a welder.
